The first item is a winter solstice spiral playset. I was inspired by Angel's winter solstice spiral and needlefelted this version for my swap partner. I used a felted wool sweater as the base and needle felted a solstice spiral onto it. Then I added a cave for the black bear. Finally I needle felted a black bear. The bear moves around the solstice spiral, one spot daily, until he reaches the center of the spiral. You can either start him at the beginning and count down to Christmas or start him on spot #2 and count down to the winter solstice. When he reaches the center of the spiral it's time for him to hibernate in his cave.

The next item I created was this Christmas gnome. His hat, cape, and outfit are made of 100% wool felt with some embroidery I did using cotton floss. I glued his wool roving beard on with craft glue. His body is a wooden peg doll.

And the final item in this swap package is a needle felted star ornament. The ornament is constructed of wool roving that I needle felted in a star shape and the hanger is hemp twine.

This package will be leaving my home on Monday and flying off to Colorado where it will hopefully be enjoyed by my swap partner, Sara, and her family. :)

ACK! I love it so much. What a wonderful adaptation of the one I made. I hope your swap partner loves it too.
